Description:-The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is a regulatory body that monitors to the securities market and also the interests of investors by enforcing certain rules and by the Securities and Exchange Board of India. It is entrusted with the responsibility of regulating the Indian capital markets.

Short Notification

The Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) releases the syllabus and recruitment notification to appoint eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Manager in the categories for –
  • General
  • Legal  IT
  • Civil & Electrical Engineer
  • Research & Official Language 

So, if you want to apply for the SEBI A grade Exam, you should know about its syllabus and for that we are here. In this article, we will let you know all about the SEBI’s A grade syllabus. 

The SEBI A grade exam consists of three different stages:

  • The first one is the Prelims exam. (Online Objective Test)
  • The second one is the Mains exam. (Online Objective & Descriptive Test)
  • The third one is the Interview.

Candidates have to score passing marks in both the exam in order to be eligible for the final stage or interview, if a candidate passes the first stage exam, only then they can give the mains exam, after clearing the mains exam there will be a final stage that is an interview.

Prelims Exam

There are two objective type paper consist 100 marks for each. the Prelims Exam tests the level of knowledge as that of a graduate of any faculty from any recognized university, clearly stated by the commission's notification.

The pattern for prelims exam-

Mains exam

After scoring the passing for the SEBI Prelim or first stage exam candidates have to appear for the SEBI Mains exam. Mains exam consists of two papers, Candidates need to attempt both the papers and score the passing marks to qualify for the Interview round.

SEBI Interview Test:
Candidates who qualify for the SEBI Mains Exam are called for the ‘Interview’ Round. Candidates will be interviewed by a Board appointed by the SEBI. The objective of the interview is to check the personal suitability and capability of the candidate for a career and also this is a personality test interview. The purpose of the interview is to explore the mental qualities and analytical ability of the candidate.
