Description:-Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission is also known as MPPSC, it's a government-led agency of the Madhya Pradesh state government. It was constituted under the Act-315 by the state and Union Public Service Commission. MPPSC is responsible for conducting civil services and competitive examinations. At the state level, MPPSC makes direct recruitments to various civil services and departmental posts.
MPPSC does promotions of the state-level officers in any department, it also does transfers in civil services and departmental services from one to another department. MPPSC also conducts the combined competitive examinations to various civil services for applicants. 
Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission releases the official syllabus for the MPPSC. These exams are usually conducted for different government jobs, such as Assistant Director, Tehsildar, Deputy Collector, and others.

So, if you want to apply for the MPPSC Exam, you should know about its syllabus and we are here for that. In this article, we will let you know about the MPPSC syllabus. 
 

The MPPSC state services exam is conducted in three different stages:-

  • The first one is the Prelims.
  • the second one is the Mains.
  • The third one is the Interview round.

Candidates have to pass each stage in order to be eligible for the final stage, if a candidate passes the prelims, only then they can give the mains exam, after clearing the mains exam the candidate would be summoned for the final stage that is an interview.

Prelims Exam


There are two compulsory objective papers in the first stage. 

  • Paper-I General Studies
  • Paper-II General Aptitude Tests

Both papers are of 2 hours each and both the papers are compulsory.
The pattern for Prelims exam:-

Candidates should know that there is no negative marking in prelim exam. In MPPSC, both Paper I and II of the prelim’s exam are counted for the merit ranking and also for qualifying the MPPSC mains but marks of the prelim exam will not count for the final merit list

Mains exam


After scoring the passing for the MPPSC Prelim exam candidates have to appear for the MPPSC Mains exam. There are six compulsory papers in which 4 Papers are General studies Papers and 2 papers are Hindi language papers. These are given blow-

  • General Studies I
  • General Studies II
  • General Studies III
  • General Studies IV
  • Hindi
  • Hindi Essay

Candidates need to attempt all the papers and score the passing marks to qualify for the Interview round.

  • Constitution including Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles of State Policies, centre and State Legislatures

  • Social Sectors including health, education, and empowerment

  • Public Affairs, expenditures, and international organizations

Paper III: General Studies-III syllabus-

  • Science and Technology
  • Logical reasoning
  • Data Interpretation
  • Energy and sustainable development
  • Indian Economy

Paper IV: General General Studies-IV syllabus:-

  • Aptitude
  • Emotional Intelligence and
  • Case studies on various topics such as ethics and integrity

Paper V: Hindi Essay:-

  • Essay on any given topic

Paper VI: Hindi:-

  • Hindi Language Test
MPPSC Interview Test:-
Candidates who qualify for the MPPSC Mains Exam are called for the ‘Interview’ Round. Candidates will be interviewed by a Board appointed by the MPPSC, it will take for1 hour. 
The objective of the interview is to check the personal suitability of the candidate for a career in the state services by a board of competent and unbiased observers and apart from their academic study, there is a personality test in the interview.  
The interview is more of a purpose conversation intended to explore the mental qualities and analytical ability of the candidate.
